The Patron Saints Fiesta celebrated on the fourth Sunday in April and starts with the crowning of the Queen of the Fiestas who was chosen in the preceding September. There are marching bands, bull running and processions on horseback, firecrackers and fireworks all culminating in the Day of the Riberero which honoured country labourers setting off for the rice harvest. As with every town and village in the Costa Blanca there will also be a Moors and Christians Fiesta commemorating and acting out this important part of Spanish history.
